Home produce

Very many thanks to all the fabulous bakers and preservers who produced such a wonderful array of goodies this weekend! A few jars of preserves and pickles still remain to be sold – available on a first-come, first-served basis from St Giles Church after church services for the rest of December. So far, the home produce stall has generated more than £700 for St Giles – a brilliant result!

High points of every Graffham St Giles Christmas Fair are the home produce stalls. And although the event is not taking place in its usual format in 2020 – and we all know why! – there will still be the opportunity for you to snaffle up some of the yummy bakes and preserves made by many of the village’s incredibly talented cooks.

Instead of you going to the Empire Hall, as usual – the home produce stall will be coming to a driveway near you on Saturday 5 December between around 10 and 1 pm!. Watch out for the manoevering mince pies, careering cakes, shuffling scones and so much more as the mobile home produce stall makes its way around the village. Stop off locations and approximate timings are shown in the map below.

Remaining home produce items will be available on Sunday 6 December at Topleigh Stables’ pottery studio 10 am – 12.30 pm (subject to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing etc) – see also Craft stalls.

Produce donations, ie cakes, biscuits, preserves etc, are needed!  Contact Caroline Evans on 867685
